Herbal Travel Kit
It’s always a good idea to be prepared for things on those small excursions and short trips. Packing a small herbal travel kit can save your some discomfort or a trip to the doctor for many travel inconveniences.
My favorite preparation is a small tube of Arnica. A homeopathic ointment that’s good for small bangs, abrasions and bruising. Bites and stings are what I most treasure it for the most.
Along with your Arnica take a small bottle of Aloe Vera for minor burns, sunburn and wind chaffing. Mix it with a little glycerin if you need a moisturizer.
Take a little Tea Tree Oil for when you need a potent antiseptic. Tea Tree Oil is good for all kinds of skin things and will go to work on athlete’s foot as well.
You ever eaten a little ginger for indigestion and did you know it’s quite effective if your prone to motion sickness. Peppermint is another good digestive.
I just keep a small pouch with these things plus a few band-aids and I’m good to go. If you have found an herbal remedy for headaches be sure to put that in your kit too, if not, put some of whatever works for you in your kit as well. You’ll be glad you did later.
